Optimization of the extraction process of Artemisia rupestris L. by AHP method combined with Response Surface Methodology

Abstract

Objective  To optimize the extraction process of Artemisia rupestris L. by analytic hierarchy process method and response surface methodology.

Methods  On the basis of univariate optimum seeking method combined with response surface methodology, the three main factors of extraction times, solvent multiples and extraction time were in-vestigated. With the content and the extract rate of luteolin, apigenin and rupestonic acid as indexes, the weight coefficient was calculated by analytic hierarchy process method. Then the extraction process of rupestris was optimized by comprehensive score.

Results  The extraction process of rupestris was as follows: heated reflux extraction with 10 times of 60% ethanol for 3 times, 1 hour each time.

Conclusion  The optimized extraction conditions were simple and reproducible, which was suitable for the extraction of Artemisia rupestris L..
