Zhan Siyan, professor and tutor of doctoral degree candidates, is the dean of School of Public Health, director of Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Peking University, the director of Clinical Epidemiology Research Center, Peking University Third Hospital, the director of Center for Intelligent Public Health, Institute for Artificial Intelligence, Peking University, and the deputy director of Peking University Center for Evidence Based Medicine and Clinical Resarch. She is the executive director of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, the director of the Special Committee on Pharmacoepidemiology, and the director of the Epidemiology Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association. She is the editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Pharmacoepidemiology, associate editor of Chinese Journal of Epidemiology, associate editor of Science Bulletin (Medical Edition), editorial board member and associate editor of Pharmacoepidemiology & Drug Safety, editorial board member of Clinical Epidemiology and many other national and international magazines. She is also the editor-in-chief of the 7th and 8th editions of the textbook Epidemiology, and the editor-in-chief of the 2nd and 3rd editions of Clinical Epidemiology. Her main research interests are pharmacoepidemiology, clinical epidemiology and evidence-based medicine. In recent years, she has undertaken a number of projects for the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and published more than 200 papers as the first or responsible author, including more than 70 SCI papers published in Lancet ID, PLoS Medicine, etc. She has received several provincial and ministerial awards as the first completer. She was awarded the 17th Wu Jieping - Paul Janssen Award for Medical Pharmacy in 2016, the title of Beijing Outstanding Teacher in 2017, Beijing Advanced Individual in the Fight against COVID-19 in 2020, and she enjoys the special allowance of the State Council.

Xin Huawen, female, M.D., tutor of doctoral degree candidates, is the Chief Physician of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, PLA General Hospital of Central Theater Command. She is a visiting scholar of the German Dr. Margarete Fisher-Bosch-Institute of Clinical Pharmacology. She has been engaged in clinical pharmacology and clinical pharmacy for more than 30 years, and has rich practical experience in rational drug use, drug safety monitoring, and pharmacoepidemiology research. She has presided over more than 10 national and provincial research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Military Outstanding Talent Fund, and the Key Project of Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation. She has published more than 100 papers as the first author and more than 20 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author and has edited and co-edited 10 books. She has won 6 second prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards. In 1999, she was awarded the 3rd Servier Award jointly established by the French Servier Institute and Chinese Pharmacological Society, and in 2002, she was awarded the Merck International Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship. She currently holds academic positions as a member of the Professional Committee of Pharmacoepidemiology of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (she was the deputy director for two terms), deputy director of the Hubei Provincial Expert Committee on Rational Drug Use, editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Pharmacoepidemiology, editorial board member of Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin and the Herald of Medicine.


Zhai Suodi, professor and tutor of doctoral degree candidates, is the chief pharmacist of the Department of Pharmacy, Peking University Third Hospital. He is the director of Drug Evaluation Center of Peking University Health Science Center, director of Beijing Quality Control Center for Pharmacy, chief editor of Clinical Medication Journal, editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Pharmacoepidemiology, deputy editor-in-chief of Adverse Drug Reactions Journal, deputy editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal of Hospital Pharmacy. His research interests are evidence-based drug evaluation and therapeutic drug monitoring.
