A 54-year-old male patient with acute promyelocytic leukemia developed left lower abdominal pain and bright red bloody stools 5 times per day after taking compound Huangdai tablets for 17 days. Laboratory tests showed a white blood cell count of 13.02×109·L-1, neutrophil percentage of 80%, hemoglobin of 158 g·L-1, and C-reactive protein of 3.68 mg·L-1. Fecal occult blood testing was positive. Diagnosis of ischemic enteropathy was confirmed via sigmoidoscopy and abdominal CT. Compound Huangdai tablets were discontinued, and the patient was treated with fluid supplementation, anticoagulation, and anti-infection. The patient's abdominal pain resolved, the bloody stools ceased, and he resumed a normal diet, with his stool turning yellow. Using Naranjo's Adverse Drug Reaction Scale, the association between ischemic bowel disease and compound Huangdai tablets was assessed as likely related. This study comprehensively analyzed the clinical features and treatment process of ischemic enteropathy induced by compound Huangdai tablets, aiming to provide references for safe clinical medication.
